Cung Le: I would still love to fight Anderson Silva

There was a time not too long ago where Cung Le was on top of the world as the Strikeforce middleweight champion and his counterpart in the UFC was a man by the name of Anderson Silva.
At the time, Le and his promoter both talked about the possibility of Le one day facing Silva inside the cage as the two middleweights reigned supreme as the best 185-pounders in their respective organizations. The fight never came to fruition and eventually both men relinquished their titles.
Now years later, Le is about to face off with Michael Bisping in the headline fight for UFC Fight Night in Macao and if he can win it would put him in a very advantageous position in the middleweight division. Le has stated for some time now that his goal in the sport is to find the most interesting fights possible as he grows a little bit older and also has a second career as an action-movie actor and producer.
In other words, it needs to be the right time and fight for Le to want to step back into the Octagon again. With a win over Bisping, a fight against Silva would certainly do the job.
"Of course there is," Le tells the Great MMA Debate podcast about his interest in facing Silva. "He's one of the greatest. Sometimes styles matchup perfectly against other styles and Anderson just happened to find his kryptonite in Chris Weidman. It just happened that his last fight ended really bad with that broken shin bone. I'm amazed that he's back and ready to fight in January.
"For some reason if there's an opportunity to fight Anderson, of course I would love to fight the legend. He is a legend, I look up to him and it would be an honor to fight him."
