A fractured ankle caused Bobby Green out of his scheduled fight at UFC 172 against Jim Miller, but luckily the injury will only keep the former Strikeforce competitor sidelined for a matter of weeks.

Green told UFC Tonight that the ankle injury will likely keep him out of action for about three weeks, and then he will be ready to return to the Octagon.

At that point when Green is healthy, he's hoping to step up on short notice for any fight where he's needed and still get in a total of four fights by the end of the year.

"When I come back I want to do four fights this year and all of them be short notice," Green told the show.

Green doesn't have anyone in mind for his return to action, just any fight that he can step into so he's able to get back in action.

Currently, Green is 3-0 in the UFC with a seven fight win streak overall.
