Benavidez meets Elliott at UFC 172 in Baltimore

A new flyweight bout has been added to UFC 172 in Baltimore as No. 2 ranked fighter Joseph Benavidez returns to action as he faces Tim Elliott in a featured 125-pound bout on the card.
UFC officials announced the new fight on Monday.
Benavidez (19-4) steps back in the Octagon for the first time since losing in his bid to become UFC flyweight champion when he fell by knockout to champion Demetrious Johnson at FOX UFC Saturday in Sacramento in December. Outside of the two losses he's suffered to Johnson in the UFC, Benavidez has been unblemished winning his other six fights – three of which ended by TKO
Now Benavidez starts that long trip back to another title shot when he returns at UFC 172 in Baltimore.
Tim Elliott (10-4-1) will also look to get back on the winning track when he fights in Baltimore following a loss in his last fight against Ali Bagautinov from UFC 167 in November 2013.
The two flyweights will meet at UFC 172 with the winner getting back into the contender's race in a very tough 125-pound division where Johnson has been ruling as king since the weight class was created two years ago.
The UFC has not released an official bout order for the card yet so there is no information available where Benavidez vs. Elliott will air as of yet.
