Sarah Kaufman just cannot catch a break lately.

The former Strikeforce champion is once again without an opponent after Brazilian fighter Amanda Nunes suffered a dislocated thumb in training for their bout at next week's Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale card.

Nunes confirmed the injury via her Instagram account on Tuesday.

"I was really excited to fight Sarah," Nunes wrote. "This was a great opportunity for me Unfortunately I dislocated my finger and it will have to wait."

Nunes was the late replacement for former Ultimate Fighter contestant Shayna Baszler, who was forced out of the bout against Kaufman last week.  Now with Nunes out of the fight as well, Kaufman is once again without an opponent with her bout just over a week away.

UPDATE: UFC officials confirmed on Tuesday that they have signed Leslie Smith to a contract and she will face Kaufman on the upcoming TUF Nations Finale card.

Smith actually fought Kaufman last year in a bout that ended in extremely controversial fashion.  Kaufman got the win by split decision in a fight many scored for Smith.  Now the two bantamweight women will get the chance to do it all over again in Quebec City, Quebec next week
