Al Iaquinta vs. Thiago Alves in the works for UFC 205

A lightweight scrap between Thiago Alves and 12th-ranked 155-pound fighter Al Iaquinta is in the works for UFC 205 in New York City in November.
Iaquinta revealed the bout after fellow lightweight Kevin Lee called him out following his win at the TUF Finale. Alves backed up Iaquinta's announcement and sources confirmed to our own Damon Martin that the fight was indeed in the plans for the momentous event.

Alves last fought in May of 2015, where he lost a second-round TKO to welterweight contender Carlos Condit. Before then, however, he had won three of his last four. He'll be making his debut at lightweight for the proposed bout at UFC 205, a move he announced earlier this year.
Hard-hitting Iaquinta has won four straight fights, including three consecutive KOs over Joe Lauzon, Ross Pearson and Rodrigo Damm. The New York native cracked the lightweight top 15 with his last win, a split decision over the always tough Jorge Masvidal, and will look to continue his rise with a win over Alves.
