Zvonareva reaches Key Biscayne semis

Vera Zvonareva has defeated Agnieszka Radwanska 7-5, 6-3 to reach the semifinals at the Sony Ericsson Open.

Seeded third, Zvonareva overcame a set point with an ace in the first set Wednesday and won four consecutive games to take control of the second set.

Zvonareva improved to 4-0 in quarterfinals this year. Her opponent Thursday will be the winner of the match Wednesday night between defending champion Kim Clijsters and 2009 champ Victoria Azarenka.

Zvonareva's best showing in 10 appearances at Key Biscayne was in 2008, when she lost in the semifinals.
