Venezuela venue for Davis Cup match vs Peru in doubt

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) Venezuela's tennis federation says the ITF has barred the country from hosting its Davis Cup match against Peru over security concerns, calling the move a ''baseless decision.''

There was no immediate comment from the International Tennis Federation.

Venezuela's federation says it has five days to choose a neutral location to host the Group 2 Americas final that was scheduled to take place Sept. 16-18 in the central city of Puerto La Cruz.
