Shaq takes in Andy Murray's match at Wimbledon from Royal Box

This week in celebrity guests at tennis matches, we give you Shaquille O'Neal.

The former NBA superstar showed up at Wimbledon on Monday, taking in the Centre Court slate on the opening day of play from the swankiest of venues -- the Royal Box.

Shaq was there with girlfriend Nicole Alexander to see, among others, Andy Murray open his title defense with an easy win.

This makes two straight majors with a notable American celebrity pop-in. Last month, Prince showed up at Court Philippe Chatrier to watch Rafael Nadal play at the French Open.

It's not Shaq's first intersection with the tennis world. Earlier this month, he was spotted talking with 17-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams after an NBA Finals game in Miami:

And in 2008, Shaq's Phoenix Suns took on the Denver Nuggets in a preseason game staged outdoors at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California:
