Seppi sends Delbonis out of inaugural European Open

ANTWERP, Belgium (AP) The 100th-ranked Andreas Seppi beat eighth-seeded Federico Delbonis 7-6 (7), 5-7, 6-3 Monday to advance to the second round of the inaugural European Open.

The Italian player next takes on Dutchman Robin Haase, who had an easier time against Paul-Henri Mathieu of France with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Also, Inigo Cervantes of Spain beat Germany's Michael Berrer 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
