Samir clinches tennis title in Bahrain.
KARACHI: Pakistan's junior tennis player Samir Iftikhar won boys singles title of 2nd Zain Bahrain ITF Junior Tennis Championship afterbeating Markos Kalovelonis of Greece in the final.
Samir recorded a convincing 6-1 1-0 (retd) triumph over Markos to clinch the title. Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, President & Patron of Pakistan Tennis Federation congratulated the youngster for winning thetitle.
He will now be competing in 9th UAE Dubai ITF International TennisTournament where he seeded 5th in the boys singles main draw. Currently he is ranked 270 in the world and with the title winning campaignin Bahrain, it is expected that his rankings would improve considerably. Meanwhile, his cousin Ushna Suhail will also be participating inUAE Dubai ITF international tournament where she has been seeded fourth in girls singles main draw.
