Novak Djokovic is not letting up in London during the ATP World Tour Finals. A win over David Goffin keeps Djokovic’s fight alive.

Novak Djokovic defeated David Goffin 6-1, 6-2 and advanced through his group in London. The ATP World Tour Finals is setting up to be a clash between the Serbian tennis superstar and the new world number 1, Andy Murray.

Murray’s strong second half in 2016 brought him the top position in men’s tennis and Djokovic is feeling the pressure to regain his title.

Novak Djokovic is the 4-time defending champion at the season-ending tournament in London. He also claims 5 ATP World Tour Finals titles and has largely been considered the best in men’s tennis. Murray is looking to change that.

Murray dug deep and showed his ability to comeback in his win Kei Nishikori. The Scot took his match 6-7 (9-11), 6-4 6-4. While he did not cruise past the Japanese tennis player, Murray proved that he can battle back on the big stage. Djokovic, however, can do the same.

The top players in men’s tennis are making the season-ending tournament in London into more than anyone could have expected. Murray must face Stan Wawrinka on Friday. Wawrinka is the 2016 US Open champion, where he defeated Djokovic for the title. Murray remains the clear cut favorite for the Friday matchup.

Djokovic and Murray are both focused on what lies next in London. The ATP World Tour Finals at the 02 Arena in London is shaping up to be an exciting tournament.
