Hantuchova, Cibulkova make Slovak Fed Cup team

Slovakia will use its best players Daniela Hantuchova and Dominika Cibulkova to face the Czech Republic in the first round of the Fed Cup.

The 31st-ranked Hantuchova and the 32nd-ranked Cibulkova will be joined by No. 106 Magdalena Rybarikova and No. 489 Jana Cepelova for the Feb. 5-6 event on hard courts at Sibamac Arena in the Slovak capital of Bratislava.

Slovakia has lost all three previous encounters against the Czech Republic.

The Slovaks, who won the competition in 2002, will be playing in the World Group for the first time in seven years.

The winner of the series will face Belgium or the United States in the semifinals.

The two countries formed one state - Czechoslovakia - until 1993.
