Czech doubles specialist Martin Damm has retired from professional tennis.

The 38-year-old Damm told the current issue of the Czech tennis magazine Tennis Arena he decided to retire after recent poor results and because of his age.

He said he was not leaving the sport and will coach American Ryan Harrison.

Damn turned professional in 2000 and won 40 ATP doubles titles. He teamed up with Leander Paes to win the 2006 U.S. Open and a year later reached his highest doubles ranking at No. 5.
