David Goffin: world No. 11 to face Radu Albot at ATP Sofia Open
David Goffin takes on Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot at the 2017 ATP Sofia Open. The world No. 11 is the second ranked player in the tournament.
David Goffin is looking for a big win at the 2017 Sofia Open. He will take on Radu Albot, who is coming off of a strong first round victory.
The Moldovan tennis player defeated 19-year-old Alexandar Lazarov in straight sets to setup a meeting with Goffin.

Albot won 7-6, 6-2 over Lazarov.
He now moves into what will most likely be his biggest hurdle of the tournament. Goffin is among the favorites to win the Sofia Open this year. Coming in as the world No. 11, he is eyeing the tournament’s top ranked player, Dominic Thiem.
Goffin is coming off of the Australian Open, where he defeated Thiem to advance into the quarterfinals against another Sofia Open player, Grigor Dimitrov. All three of these players have a chance at glory in this year’s tournament.
Dimitrov went on to lose the eventual runner-up at Melbourne Park, Rafael Nadal.
For now, Goffin must focus on his match against Albot. While he is a heavy favorite to win, the world No. 92 did put on a fine display of tennis in his opening round match. David Goffin will be wise to not take this meeting lightly if he hopes to remain on track at the 2017 Sofia Open.
