Country star Hunter Hayes to headline US Open's annual Kids Day

Hunter Hayes is set to join MKTO, the Vamps and other acts at the US Open's annual Arthur Ashe Kids' Day.

The ''Wanted'' singer said in a statement Wednesday that he's honored to be part of the Aug. 23 event at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, where the last Grand Slam tournament of the year is held in tennis.

New Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic will join French Open champ Rafael Nadal at the festivities, held the weekend before the US Open begins. Others slated to participate: Disney star China Anne McClain and Nickelodeon actor Jeff Sutphen, who will co-host the event.

Arthur Ashe Kids' Day will air Aug. 24 on CBS.
