Just days after being elected to a second term as USTA chairman of the board, CEO and president, Katrina Adams joins the podcast to talk about her appointment, which marks the first time in the association’s 135 year history that an individual will serve a second two-year term in this position. Adams talks about the state of American tennis and her opinion on the relationship between having American stars and health of tennis in the U.S. Wertheim and Adams also talk about the length of term for the USTA chairman, and what a second term will enable her to do. Adams also talks about her day-to-day duties, where she spends most of her time during the year, her opinion on proposed format changes for tennis, the USTA facility in Orlando, the impact of politics on tennis and more.
