LONDON (AP) Andy Murray has been selected to lead Britain's team for the Davis Cup semifinal against Argentina next week.

The second-ranked Murray could face resurgent Juan Martin del Potro in the best-of-five series at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, from Sept. 16-18.

Both men advanced to the U.S. Open quarterfinals on Monday and could meet in the semifinals. Their Davis Cup participation could depend on what happens in New York.

The defending champion British team also includes Kyle Edmund and Dan Evans, who achieved breakthroughs at the U.S. Open. Edmund reached the fourth round at a Grand Slam for the first time, while Evans got to the third round.
