Relegation-threatened Zaragoza is sticking with Jose Aurelio Gay as
coach for the rest of the season despite a 6-0 defeat to Real
Madrid on his debut.
Gay, formerly a player with the club, was promoted from
coaching the youth team to replace Marcelino Garcia for last
weekend's league match at the Santiago Bernabeu. It was initially
thought to be a temporary appointment as the struggling Spanish
league club was in talks with several coaches, including former
coach Victor Munoz.
Zaragoza are currently one place off the bottom of the table
with just 12 points from 15 games.
