Yobo suffers injury setback

The centre-back suffered a recurrence of the problem, which has plagued him this season, when the Super Eagles beat Benin in a Group C encounter at the weekend. He was sent to the Angolan capital Luanda for scans earlier this week and initial suggestions seem to indicate that he needs at least two weeks to recover, meaning he will not be fit in time for the January 31 final, if Nigeria get there. Quoted on MTN Football, NFF technical committee chairman Taiwo Ogunjobi said: "Yobo has rejoined the team and the scan revealed that he will be out for two weeks." Nigeria booked their place in the quarter-final of the competition with a 3-0 win over Mozambique.
