Yebda braced for Pompey exit
The Algeria international has established himself as a regular member of the Pompey side since moving to the south coast on loan from Benfica last summer. He hinted in November that he would be happy to sign a permanent deal with the club but has reassessed his options since the turn of the year. Yebda admitted last month that he would be tempted to join Paris St Germain, although Portsmouth's dire financial situation made it difficult to secure a move away. Pompey cannot currently afford to buy the £4million midfielder and a number of clubs are thought to be monitoring his situation. Sevilla have been credited with an interest but Yebda concedes he would be happy to remain in the Premier League. "I could have left in January but the money problems made it difficult," he said in the Daily Mirror. "I don't think I'll be staying now but I'm hoping there's a chance to stay in England."
