Yaya Toure is being screwed by a fight between his agent and Pep Guardiola

Yaya Toure hasn't played a single minute in the Premier League for Manchester City this season. He wasn't even named to to the team's Champions League group stage roster. He's just been sitting on the sidelines so there hasn't been anything really interesting going on with him, but there's plenty of drama going on with his agent Dimitri Seluk and Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola and have been fighting ever since the season started, with Seluk repeatedly criticizing the new City boss. Now Guardiola says Toure won't play until he apologizes.

“He must apologize to his teammates, to the club. If he doesn’t, he won’t play,” said Guardiola. “It was difficult to leave him out of the Champions League squad but [the] day after, his [agent] went to the media. He has not had the courage to call me. From that moment he was out."

“I cannot imagine in my period when I was a football player, my manager going to the media and speaking against Johan Cruyff, about this and about that. If he has a problem call the club, and they can talk, until he speaks, Yaya is not going to play.”

So Guardiola wants Toure to apologize. And it sounds like he wants Seluk to apologize too. Or at least clear the air.

There's no telling what Toure might do. He probably won't apologize, seeing as he's been quiet throughout this whole ordeal, but theoretically, he might. Seluk definitely won't because this was his response to Guardiola's comments.

“If Pep Guardiola wants a war, then he can have one," Seluk told the Mirror. "Pep didn’t like my opinion? But what does he expect me to say when he does this to Yaya? I spoke out because I felt that Pep was being vindictive to Yaya. Unfortunately for Pep, we live in a world where you have the right to free speech. He has reacted to what I have said about him by punishing Yaya again. But I’m not surprised.”

Let's also get something straight here -- Guardiola didn't want to play Toure anyway. If the Ivorian was a great player who would make City better, Guardiola would get over it and play him, but he's not. There's a reason why most everyone expected Toure to leave City in the summer. He's a bad fit for Guardiola's system and that's not going to change.

Guardiola saying to apologize to play is rich because he doesn't want to play Toure regardless. And Seluk is out here waging war with Guardiola despite the fact that it's his fault for not getting Toure a summer transfer like he should have. All the while Toure sits on the bench because his manager and agent are having a feud. Poor Yaya.
