Wright-Phillips, Martins lead Red Bulls past NYC FC, 2-0

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) Bradley Wright-Phillips and Felipe Martins scored and Luis Robles had three saves to help the New York Red Bulls complete a season sweep over expansion NYC FC with a 2-0 victory Sunday night.

Wright-Phillips put away a right-footer, off a cross from Kemar Lawrence, from the top of the 6-yard box in the 21st minute.

Martins gave the Red Bulls (10-6-6) a 2-0 lead in the 85th when he when went near-post, from the left side of the box, and found the back of the net.

Robles had an early stop on Mix Diskerud's volley and a diving save in the 70th to earn his sixth shutout of the season.

The Red Bulls are unbeaten in their last five games and 3-0 against NYC FC (6-11-6).
