New York-based sports business attorney Jennifer O'Sullivan has been appointed Women's Professional Soccer's new Chief Executive Officer, league sources have confirmed to FOX Soccer.

WPS is expected to make an official announcement on Monday, with O'Sullivan having officially joined the league on September 21.

O'Sullivan fills the vacancy left by Anne-Marie Eileraas, who resigned as CEO on September 18 after one year as the league's highest-ranking executive.

O'Sullivan most recently served as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Constituency Management Group (CMGRP), a subsidiary of The Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG).

A graduate of The Catholic University of America and Columbus School of Law, O'Sullivan has also represented the National Football League and Arena Football League.
