Bundesliga club Wolfsburg has signed Swedish striker Rasmus Joensson from Helsingborg.

Wolfsburg said the 21-year-old Joensson signed a four-year contract on Monday. It didn't give further details of the transfer deal.

Coach Felix Magath said that Joensson ''can score goals and create them - he will help us.''

Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga title in 2009 but only narrowly avoided relegation last season. Magath's team hasn't started well this season, with one win and three defeats from its first four league matches.
