Wigan suffered considerable frustration after failing to finish off Roy Hodgson's hard-working Fulham side in a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium.
Roberto Martinez's side at least put their embarrassment of last week's drubbing at the hands of the Premier League's bottom club, Portsmouth, behind them but it could have been so much better.
