Wenger plays down Rambo return
Ramsey was out for nine months after suffering a double leg fracture following a tackle by Shawcross last season, but marked his return to first-team action with the winner against Manchester United last weekend. With Cesc Fabregas still struggling to overcome his thigh problem, Ramsey is set to feature again on Sunday, when he is likely to come up against Shawcross. However, Wenger does not want to make a big deal of the issue. "If you respect Aaron let him prepare the game and play his game. I have nothing special to say," Wenger said. "When you play football you try to control the ball well and make a good pass. When you do not have the ball you try to win it back, and you do not look who is against you. "The foul happened [more than a] year ago and we cannot prepare for football games thinking like that." Wenger hopes the whole issue will not distract from the bigger picture, which sees Arsenal in need of victory to maintain their drive for automatic Champions League qualification. "I said many times that only Aaron can forgive Shawcross. He has been hurt and I don't think that is a needed debate before the game," Wenger added. "Aaron is 20 years old, he has a long career in front of him, so the earlier he plays in Stoke the better it is. "The only thing that is important is to focus, to play well and win the game." With United hosting Chelsea on Sunday and only three points ahead, mathematically at least the Gunners could yet overtake both the teams above them. However, Wenger admitted: "There is very little chance the title will happen. "However, I do not want to come out of the season and to think if we had won at Stoke, then also our last two games, we would have made it. "I don't leave in dreamland, I live in a realistic world, in a competitive world and real competitors fight until the end." Wenger is likely to review his squad over the summer and could find a place for several of the youngsters who have enjoyed productive spells on loan, including England Under-21 midfielder Henri Lansbury who helped Norwich secure promotion to the Premier League. "Some of them will come back and be part of the squad. Lansbury can be one of them, I like him," Wenger said. However, Wenger is also set for some difficult discussions with some of his fringe players, like Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner. "I will sit down with Nicklas at the end of the season to see how he feels," Wenger said. "I completely agree that he did not get enough chances, it was a very difficult season for him. He must be frustrated and I am as well because I feel he was not involved enough. "That is part of the competition as well, but we will see where we go from here at the end of the season. I hope he will stay."
