WCup organizers have positive meeting with Blatter
Local organizers say they had constructive World Cup discussions with FIFA President Sepp Blatter during his private trip to Brazil to visit the ailing Joao Havelange.
The president of the 2014 local organizing committee said he took advantage of the trip to meet with the FIFA president and discuss the country's World Cup preparations.
Jose Maria Marin said ''we talked for more than an hour and I can say that it was very positive.''
Specific details on the discussions were not disclosed.
It was only Marin's second meeting with Blatter since taking over the local organizing committee after the resignation of embattled Brazilian football chief Ricardo Teixeira.
Blatter visited former FIFA president Havelange on Saturday. The 95-year-old Havelange has been hospitalized since March 18 with a right ankle infection.
