The Nigerian international has been a huge hit since moving to the Baggies last summer, scoring 15 goals in his debut season and becoming one of the Premier League's hottest properties. Chelsea are reported to have joined Arsenal in looking at a possible deal to lure the 29-year-old away from the Black Country, with the player's current deal set to expire next summer. Hodgson is set to double Odemwingie's wages, with a £42,000 a week extension over a further two years the reported offer. However, should they decide to offload the £12million-rated forward, Hodgson knows that any profit made will enable them to find a replacement of the same quality. "I'm confident of keeping our top players, including Peter. They have contracts and the club are not keen on selling. "We don't need to sell players because everyone knows Albion are a well run club. "We have no debts and we are not in the situation that many clubs are in, having to sell to match budgets."
