Barton watched from the directors' box at the DW Stadium on Saturday lunchtime as Rangers were beaten by two Franco Di Santo goals for Wigan. And with Young's arrival from Aston Villa also confirmed, Warnock hailed the impact of Fernandes and said he expected up to four more new faces before deadline day. Warnock said: "It's really exciting to know we're going to supplement our squad with five or six new players because we're going to need them. "I've been speaking to him (Fernandes) most evenings and he's just been fantastic. I've never had that sort of support anywhere. I've come up with the names and he's said 'go for it'." Although Warnock refused to reveal any of his imminent targets, Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips is believed to be high on his wanted list. Warnock felt his side were hard done by against Roberto Martinez's Latics, who triumphed thanks to two fine if slightly deflected finishes by Di Santo. Warnock added: "As far as how we've coped so far, we've got nothing to be afraid of. If you create as many chances as we did today, that's all you can do."
