The Clarets have paid an undisclosed fee to sign the 22-year-old Wales international on a three-year deal. Vokes scored two goals in nine appearances during a loan spell at Burnley between November and January last season. Despite a host of clubs chasing his signature this summer, the highly-rated striker has opted for a transfer to Turf Moor. Vokes, who started his career alongside Clarets boss Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, joined Wolves in 2008 after scoring 16 goals in 54 league outings for the Cherries. He went on to make over 50 appearances for Wolves, and has gained further valuable Championship experience during loan spells at Leeds, Bristol City, Sheffield United and Norwich.
