Vidal launches lawsuit against newspaper over alcohol claims
Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal has launched a lawsuit against Bild following allegations he drank alcohol during the club's winter training camp in Qatar.
On Tuesday night the German newspaper reported that Vidal had left the team's headquarters on several occasions and returned in an intoxicated state.
However, Vidal has now released a statement on his official Twitter account strongly denying the claims.
He said: "I would like to say that the claims published today in a German newspaper are absolutely false.
"My lawyers have already been instructed to initiate a legal claim against the newspaper responsible for these lies.
"I'm 100 per cent committed to my team and preparing for the rest of the season, which will be very important for all of us."

Just a note about something that FOX have been doing for months but didn't communicate to us. When using Goal it is best to use stories from the the US version rather the UK's for reasons not explained. Charles sent me the below on yesterday's log. If we are lifting a story not from the US site we need to inform the USA desk on the e-mail below. Reading between the lines we don't need to do it if we take stories from the US version.

That said, if you find something on the UK/Canada/Europe sites that you’d prefer to use, email the USA bureau (usadesk@goal.com) so that they can transfer the story to their skin. Reason for this? We agreed to tweet their used stories and need Goal USA URL’s."
