Nani believes his Portugal team-mate Miguel Veloso has the quality to make it at a club like Manchester United should he leave Sporting Lisbon.
Veloso has long been mooted as a target for United and reports have suggested Sir Alex Ferguson is planning a bid for the midfielder this summer.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the past and Nani is not surprised.
He played alongside Veloso at Sporting and feels the 23-year-old, who scored in both legs of Sporting's Europa League win over Everton, could leave in the summer.
"I know there are many rumours regarding Manchester United's interest in Veloso, but I can't decide whether he comes," Nani told The Sun.
"I know him well because he was a team-mate of mine and I know he has the quality to play for a club like United.
"The football here is hard, but he is someone who can do well at a big club and I know he has the opportunities to leave Sporting."
