Van Persie returns to Gunners squad
The Dutch striker has been sidelined for five months after rupturing ankle ligaments on international duty. He returned to full training last week and was expected to be available for the club's final three matches against Manchester City, Blackburn and Fulham. But he is anxious to be involved in Arsenal's title run-in and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed he would be involved against Tottenham, probably starting from the bench. Wenger said: "He will feature. He lacks a bit of match practice but when I pick a player it means he's fit and sharp. "There's always a gamble in such decisions but we have been a bit cautious in his case. "But Van Persie is a very important player at this club. He is important for the confidence." Sol Campbell will start in central defence with Alex Song still suffering from a knee injury.
