The Danish football federation says it has suspended Randers defender Remco van der Schaaf for two games after he deliberately elbowed an opponent in the face during a game.
DBU says television footage showed that the Dutchman hit Mads Justesen in 83rd minute of a match against Hobro. Randers won 2-0.
The federation says Van der Schaaf has apologized for the incident.
The 32-year-old Van der Schaaf, who has also played for Vitesse Arnhem, PSV Eindhoven, Burnley and Brondby, joined Randers earlier this year.
