USWNT announces schedule ahead of Women's World Cup
U.S. Soccer has announced the 2015 schedule for the women's national team as they gear up for the Women's World Cup.
The team will play 10 games prior to the tournament, four in the United States and six in Europe.
The USWNT opens their 2015 schedule with two friendly matches in Europe: France on Feb. 8 and England on Feb. 13 (3 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1).
While in Europe, the USWNT will then play in the annual Algarve Cup in Portugal from March 4-11 and will face off against Norway, Switzerland and Iceland in group play.
The first match on home soil will be on April 4 in St. Louis, Missouri against New Zealand (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1). Followed by three matches in May against Ireland (May 10, 2:30 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1), Mexico (May 17, 9 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1) and Korea.
The team will then head to Winnipeg to start the opening group stage of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, which runs from June 6 to July 5.
