Shakhtar Donetsk says its Ukraine international goalkeeper Oleksandr Rybka will seek a fast-track verdict from the Court of Arbitration for Sport to challenge a two-year ban for doping ahead of the European Championship.

Shakhtar says in a statement on its website that it will ask CAS to rule on Rybka's case this season. Euro 2012 hosted by Ukraine and Poland kicks off on June 8.

Rybka's path to sport's highest court was cleared after UEFA's appeals panel upheld his ban last Friday.

Rybka tested positive for a banned diuretic in November, one month after making his national team debut.

He said he took the drug to lose weight but didn't tell club doctors.

Rybka is barred from world football until Jan. 10, 2014.
