Marseille says UEFA has opened disciplinary procedures against Chelsea after the French club's head of security claimed he was thrown out of Stamford Bridge ahead of the French club's 2-0 loss in the Champions League.

Marseille said on its website the European football's governing body will review the alleged ''improper conduct'' of Chelsea stewards before the Sept. 28 game.

Marseille's head of security claimed he was grabbed around the waist by Chelsea security officials before being ejected from the stadium.

He added that Marseille's stewards were not allowed to supervise the club's fans and were ordered to stay seated during the game.
