The United States women's football team will play world champion Germany in a friendly at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

The U.S. Soccer Federation announced Wednesday the match will be played on May 22.

The game will be the first for the German team in the United States since winning the 2003 World Cup. In their last meeting, the top-ranked Americans won 3-2 on March 3 in the final of the Algarve Cup in Faro, Portugal. Germany is ranked second.

The only previous match in Cleveland for the United States was a 2-0 win over China on June 16, 2007.
