Turner keeping his options open
The former Everton and Preston goalkeeper, 28, played in Rovers' 3-0 defeat to rivals Bristol City the day after starring in Swindon's 3-0 win at Salisbury on Friday.
While admitting the situation is an odd one, he is willing to do what it takes to secure regular football.
He told the Swindon Advertiser: "It is a strange situation but from my point of view it is all football and that is what I am after, so hopefully I impress both clubs which gives me more options.
"All every footballer wants is regular football and I had a few injuries last season which didn't help me but now I am ready to go and I want to show what I can do.
"I got a phone call and spoke to Mark McGhee and he offered me the chance to play in the game and I was happy to because it is another chance to get myself a contract."
