Trio earn England U21 call-ups
Jack Rodwell's promotion to the senior squad and injuries to two other players have led to England U21 boss Stuart Pearce making three changes to his 25-man squad for the Euro 2013 qualifier against Iceland in Colchester on Thursday. Everton midfielder Rodwell will be with England's senior side for the friendlies against Spain and Sweden. Sunderland's Connor Wickham and Middlesbrough's Alex Nimely, currently on loan from Manchester City, are out with injury. Boro defender Bennett, who missed last month's trips to Iceland and Norway through illness, United striker Keane, who joins from the Under-19s squad, and Newcastle forward Ameobi, earning his first U21 call-up, have been drafted in. England meet Iceland on Thursday at Colchester's Weston Homes Community Stadium before travelling to Mons in Belgium for their fifth Group 8 fixture on Monday.
