Germany under-21 goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has been forced to pull out of the squad to face Israel in a friendly on Sunday after breaking his hand in training.

The Eintracht Frankfurt custodian, who has earned plaudits for his performances for the Eagles this season and has been linked with a first senior cap, flew back to Frankfurt on Tuesday to receive further treatment after suffering up the injury during training.

The 22-year-old's season is over as a result, leaving Frankfurt with veteran custodian Oka Nikolov for their remaining eight Bundesliga matches.

Trapp is the fourth player to pull out of Rainer Adrion's under-21 squad with Jan Kirchhoff of Mainz and Freiburg duo Oliver Sorg and Oliver Baumann also withdrawing due to injury.
