The Tunisian Football Federation says it has accepted the resignation of coach Sami Trabelsi after the national team failed to progress past the group stage at the African Cup.
Tunisia's federation says on Friday it granted Trabelsi's request to ''amicably'' terminate his contract.
The federation also announced a shortlist of three candidates to take over from Trabelsi, who was in charge for two years and led Tunisia to the African quarterfinals in 2012.
The candidates are Khaled Ben Yahia, former national team defender Nabil Maaloul and Qatar-based coach Maher Kanzari. All three are Tunisian and have coached Tunisia's Esperance club before.
