Turkey striker Umut Bulut has signed a three-year deal with Toulouse after the Ligue 1 side reached an agreement with his former club Trabzonspor.

Bulut, 28, spent five years at Trabzonspor, scoring 61 goals in 142 appearances for the club and has revealed he always wanted to play in a bigger league.

"My dream has always been to play in one of Europe's top leagues, such as Ligue 1. When the club and the coach started showing their interest, I didn't think twice about coming here,'' he said.

"The staff know me well because they watched me play in Turkey several times. I'm delighted to have signed for the next three seasons with Toulouse.''

Toulouse only managed to score 38 goals throughout the 2010-11 season and their boss Alain Casanova will be hoping Bulut can add potency to their frontline, although the player himself insists he is more than an out-and-out goalscorer.

"I'm a team player, not just a simple goalscorer. I like to work for my team-mates, to help the team succeed. I want to score goals and show everyone in France what I can do,'' he added.
