Spanish side Malaga has agreed to sign France and Lyon midfielder Jeremy Toulalan on a four-year contract.

Malaga said on its website that Toulalan will put pen to paper in the coming days and will be officially presented this month.

Toulalan joined Lyon from Nantes in 2006 and won two French titles with the club. He struggled this season after failing to recover quickly from France's World Cup debacle. He was banned for one match by the French Football Federation for his role in the boycott of a training session in South Africa.

Toulalan is Malaga's fourth signing of the summer after striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy and defenders Joris Mathijsen and Nacho Monreal.
