France midfielder Jeremy Toulalan and defender Eric Abidal will both miss Wednesday's World Cup playoff second leg against Ireland because of injury.
The French football federation said Sunday on its Web site that the two players haven't yet been replaced.
France, which won 1-0 in Dublin on Saturday thanks to Nicolas Anelka's deflected goal midway through the second half, is hoping to play in its fourth consecutive World Cup.
Ireland qualified in 2002 but missed out in 2006.
