Italy striker Luca Toni says he wants to make his move to AS Roma
permanent once he completes his six-month loan.
The World Cup winner told Saturday's La Gazzetta dello Sport
that "I will do all I can to stay at Roma."
Toni is on loan from German club Bayern Munich until the end
of the season after falling out with coach Louis Van Gaal and being
relegated to the bench. He hopes increased playing time in Italy
will help him win back a place in the Italy squad.
The 32-year-old Toni scored twice for Italy at the 2006 World
Cup, but has not played for Marcello Lippi's side since last year's
Confederations Cup.
