Rodwell missed the 2-1 victory over Wolves on Saturday with a rib injury sustained during his impressive first start for England against Sweden last week. An X-ray has ruled out serious damage but the Toffees are still to learn the extent of the problem. Manager David Moyes said: "We are not sure if it is a twist or a kick - if it is a kick it won't be too long but if it is a twist it will be a bit longer." Moyes is also hoping key defender Sylvain Distin can make a quick return from injury. He said: "Sylvain has got a bit of a problem with his groin and it is a miss because we need those boys."
