Everton and Leicester are reportedly battling it out to sign Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Keiren Westwood from Coventry.
Westwood is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues have offered the 26-year-old a new deal, but Westwood has yet to agree terms and is expected to move on.
Leicester are in the market for a shot-stopper, with Sven Goran Eriksson keen to bring in a new number one and he is a big admirer of Westwood.
However, Everton are ready to offer the Irish international the chance to try his luck in the Premier League.
Toffees boss David Moyes is looking to bring in competition for Tim Howard and he believes Westwood would be a valuable addition to his squad on a free transfer.
