Exeter manager Paul Tisdale singled out Jamie Cureton after the striker earned his team a 1-1 draw against Dagenham.

A point for Tisdale's side was very welcome having lost their last three matches. It was also the Grecians first goal for over 300 minutes of football.

Medy Elito gave the hosts the lead before Micky Spillane was profligate from the penalty spot, blasting over the bar, and Cureton took advantage to restore parity with his 10th goal of the season.

"It's frustrating because once we scored I felt we were the better side," said Tisdale. "We had some great chances to score again, but unfortunately we didn't take them.

"But we were lucky they didn't score their penalty because that would have really made if difficult for us. I thought we deserved at least a point though and I'm delighted for Jamie, he's having a great season for us.

"He's scored some important goals for us and wants to do well for himself, more importantly the team."
