Thorne withdrawn from squad

The 18-year-old, who made his Barclays Premier League debut as a substitute in the 3-3 final day draw at Newcastle last season, was included in the party for the tournament in Colombia, preparations for which begin on July 14. However, he will now travel with the rest of Hodgson's first-team squad to their training camp in the United States between July 10 and 23. A statement on the club's official website: "Albion have regrettably withdrawn George Thorne from the England squad for the Under-20s World Cup in Colombia after he was included in Roy Hodgson's first-team pre-season plans." Gonzalo Jara will miss the trip to America after he was included in Chile's final 23-man squad for the Copa America in Argentina.
